Guest speaker Dr. Andreas Patsalos shared recent, real-world insights into today’s faculty job search and offered targeted advice on becoming a highly competitive faculty candidate. His advice distills into three key takeaways: 1) craft a fundable research narrative, 2) strengthen interviews through mock chalk talks and tailored materials, 3) demonstrate independence through publications, small grants, and invited talks. This inaugural program reflects the PDA’s commitment to providing practical, peer-driven guidance for JHACH postdocs in St. Petersburg.
